People reached with awareness lessons
Children empowered to understand breast health early
Adults reached (with over 6,000 men actively involved!)
Since our founding in Uganda, ERIC Cancer Initiative has reached over 45,000 people with lifesaving awareness on breast health. We have empowered 20,000+ children to understand breast health early, educated 25,000+ adults (with more than 6,000 men actively involved), and trained 48 community volunteers as dedicated Breast Guardians.
Through these efforts, 8 breast cancer cases have been detected early and referred for treatment. From Mukono, our reach has now expanded to Wakiso, Kampala, Gulu, Arua, Mbale, and Jinja — where women, girls, and their families are learning, checking, and acting before it’s too late.
Beyond physical communities, our voice echoes online. Through TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and X, our monthly content has achieved 75,000+ impressions, 13,000+ video views, and 2,500+ accounts reached, turning social media into a digital lifeline of education and hope.
Survivors and health workers come together on our Click of Hope Live Series, every Friday and Sunday, to share their journeys and inspire thousands.
This blend of community outreach and digital impact is proof that Early Recognition Is Critical — and together, we are building a Uganda where no woman faces breast cancer alone.
